Abstract

What happened to young humanists, individualists and traditionalists in Finland ? Values in urban Helsinky and in rural Ostrobothnia were found to differ. The values of young people from the capital were more modern and diverse than those in Ostrobothnia, where. traditional religious and political movements are still strong. Through the instructive and thorough analysis of the results of a large survey carried out on the different features of young people's commitment, the author provides relevant elements of estimation and reflection.
