Abstract

We investigate the problem of finding that analytic function which has an imaginary part provided by e+ e- annihilation data up to a given energy, has a certain number of derivatives representable by means of an inverse power expansion with some order parameters as coefficients at moderate spacelike four-momentum and minimizes the « distance » from the perturbative QCD asymptotic expansion of the vacuum polarization. The problem can be solLett.ed provided that the order parameters satisfy precise conditions. We find a strong correlation between the values of the quark and the gluon condensates. Our result for the higher twist term indicates that corrections to the Lett.acuum dominance approximation might be significant.
