Abstract
The article we presented talks about the potential of tourism in the Karabakh economic region. It shows that the Karabakh region has great potential for the development of tourism based on its rich nature, flora and fauna, as well as ancient historical monuments. Azikh cave, which is one of the oldest settlements in the world, ancient stone monuments discovered in the mountainous and plains of Karabakh - dolmens in Khojaly, cromlechs in Khankendi, historical temples such as Ganchesar (Ganzasar), Alban-Amaras, Yelisey, Khudaveng, Agoglan, have particularly wide tourism opportunities. The Patriotic War, which started on September 27, 2020 and lasted for 44 days, created a number of difficulties in the non-oil sector as well as in many areas of our country during the pandemic. During this period, tourism companies, like other sectors, had serious problems. The liberation of Karabakh from occupation by the valor of our glorious army under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, and the ongoing fight against the pandemic in our country have already opened new opportunities for the development of this field. The rich nature of Karabakh economic region, mountains, valleys, nature reserves, etc. there is This means great potential for the development of various fields of tourism. One of the factors determining this potential is the great recreational importance of these areas
