Abstract
We discuss existence of compact gravitating Q-ball and Q-shell solutions of a nonlinear sigma model with the target space ℂPN. The models with odd N can be parametrized by N-complex scalar fields and support compacton type solutions. We obtain solutions the Q-balls and Q-shells with the finite cosmological constant, in the de Sitter and anti-de Sitter spacetimes.
