Abstract

Abstract PYROMET alloy 88 is an age hardenable nickel-base alloy with high strength good corrosion and oxidation resistance. It possesses low creep rate in the temperature range 1200-1500 F (650-820 C). Above 1500 F (820 C), the effect of age hardening is lost and the alloy is used in the annealed condition. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: Ni-185. Producer or source: Carpenter Technology Corporation.
