Abstract

Abstract The trial was located at the Southwest Experiment Station at Lamberton, MN. Individual plot size was 4-30 inch rows by 35 ft in length. Plots were replicated 4 times and arranged in a randomized complete block. The insecticides were applied at the 30% 5.1 stage of bloom. The application was broadcast with a CO2 sprayer using flat cone nozzles. Application pressure was 40 psi with approximately 20 gal of total material applied per acre. Heads were harvested by hand from the center 2 plot rows, dried, crushed and a pre-cleaning sample removed. BSM damage per 200 seeds was then counted. The crushed material from each plot was then cleaned and yield of clean seed recorded.
