Abstract
Pyrenophora erythrospila sp.nov. was produced in mixed cultures of Drechslera erythrospila (Drechs.) Shoem. It is compared with similar Pyrenophora species having Drechslera states and distinguished by the 3-septate, ellipsoid ascospores constricted at the septa, sclerotioid, sparsely setose ascocarps, and cylindrical, relatively small conidia.
