Abstract

Abstract An ornamental planting of pyracantha was treated on June 23 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Application equipment consisted of a John Bean 55 sprayer, series L-1565 and a 785 John Bean Spraymaster deluxe gun which delivered 3 gal/min of finish spray at 300 psi. Plants were sprayed until runoff. Treatments were replicated two times. Temperature at time of treatment was 90°F. Mortality was determined by examining 10 leaves and recording the number of live nymphs and adults present.
