Abstract
Abstract Twenty-one 4-5 ft Pyracantha plants infested with hawthorn lace bug were selected for treatment. Plants are part of an ornamental planting along a campus sidewalk. The lace bug population consisted predominately of winged adults. Lace bug counts were made by striking limbs above a hand held 8 1/2 × 11 sheet of white paper attached to a clipboard. All live lace bugs landing on the paper were counted. Each test material was applied to 3 plants which were used as treatment replicates. A single foliar application of the test materials was made on Jun 15'79. Each plant was sprayed to runoff with compressed air sprayers. Control plants were sprayed with water. Counts were taken of live lace bugs 2, 7, 14, and 21 days after treatment. Check counts were made on three control plants.
