Abstract

The installation of Photovoltaic (PV) systems and the energy efficiency measures in buildings could represent the main driver of green economy, as they are both a need and an economic opportunity, within a wide strategic scenario that can be oriented to energetic independence of Palestine. However, PV and energy efficiency measures are strictly correlated since the latter can influence the development of the PV systems into the distribution grid. This paper highlights the PV potential and its impact in the electrical distribution grid of Hebron city, taking into account reduction of electricity demand of buildings due to the proposed energy efficiency measures.
