Abstract
According to Sverzhevsky (Med. Zhurn . 1922. No. 8-9) these diseases are observed in 0.2-58% of cases of typhus. In this case, purulent inflammation of the mastoid process in the vast majority of cases is preceded by the same inflammation of the middle ear at 4-5 weeks of typhoid.
