Abstract
1. 1. To purify alginases chromatography was used on a hydrazine-modified Bio-Gel P-20, to which alginic acid was attached covalently by the reducing end-groups. 2. 2. Alginase activity analysis following disc electrophoresis in polyacrylamide gel indicated a substantial enzymatic heterogeneity.
