Abstract
Punctodora exochopora n. sp., collected from the Canadian shore of Lake Ontario in the vicinity of Bath, Ontario, differs from the type, P. ratzeburgensis, in having the excretory duct projecting from the body and in having 15–16 pre-anal supplements. Only one to three are recorded for P. ratzeburgensis. P. exochopora differs from P. ohridensis by its shorter rectum (30 vs. 50 μ) and having spicules with blunt distal ends. An emended generic diagnosis is given, distinguishing the genus from Prochromadora. Neochromadora trilineata Schneider, 1943 is removed from synonymy with P. ohridensis and is regarded as incertae sedis.
