Abstract

Graeme J. Hankey MD, FRCP Section Editor: Puerarin, a form of herbal medicine, is widely used in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke in China, but its efficacy is uncertain. The objective of this review was to assess the efficacy and safety of puerarin in patients with acute ischemic stroke. The primary objective was to determine whether puerarin improves functional outcome without causing undue harm in patients with acute ischemic stroke.
