Abstract
This paper contrasts the schedule-oriented approach against the content-oriented strategy of public broadcasters. It presents data collected in 1999 and 2000 at the Finnish public broadcasters (YLE) and offers this as a concrete example of the challenges which European public broadcasters face on the way to digital convergence.
