Abstract

The present study aimed to analyze the impact of public policies in Special Education in Brazil, exploring their role in fostering inclusion and equal opportunities. The methodology used was a literature review, and educational policies such as the National Education Plan (NEP) and the National Guidelines for the Law of Bases of Education (LDB) were also examined, linking them to the promotion of inclusive education. The results obtained indicate that such policies play a crucial role in establishing an equitable educational system, providing a foundation for inclusion and regional development. It is concluded that the continuity and effectiveness of these policies are essential for building a more just and inclusive society.
