Abstract
Phytochemical research on Pteris dactylina Hook. afforded fourteen compounds including eight pterosin sesquiterpenoids (1–8) and six ent-kaurane diterpenoids (9–14). Compounds were identified as dehydropterosin B (1), (2R)-acetylpterosin B (2), (2R)-pterosin B (3), granuloinden B (4), (2S,3S)-acetylpterosin C (5), (2S,3S)-norpterosin C (6), (3R)-pterosin X (7), (2R)-pteroside B (8), ent-3β-hydroxy-kaur-16-ene (9), ent-3β,19-dihydroxy-kaur-16-ene (10), 2β,15α-dihydroxy-ent-kaur-16-ene (11), ent-9α-hydroxy-15-oxo-16-kauren-19-oic acid (12), 2β,6β,15α-trihydroxy-ent-kaur-16-ene (13) and ent-9α,16α,17-trihydroxy-15-oxokauran-19-oic acid (14) based on NMR, MS, ORD and CD data. All compounds were first isolated from P. dactylina, and compounds 4 and 8 were first discovered from the genus Pteris as well as the family Pteridaceae. Moreover, the chemotaxonomic significance of the isolates was discussed.
