Abstract
Abstract We studied a PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient of Resistance) effect observed in the reverse biased diodes which consist of the gold-anodic oxide-semiconducting barium strontium titanate ceramics structure. The reverse current followed the familiar Fowler-Nordheim equation which represents the tunneling current through a thin insulator. The reverse current of the diode increased when the diode was illuminated by ultraviolet radiation.
