Abstract

The article reflects a research sequence on the psychological protection mechanisms of adolescents from different types of families in crises. Today, for educational institutions, the task of forming an independent mature personality, able to know their abilities, with highly developed spiritual and moral values, psychologically prepared for adulthood, is becoming particularly relevant. The formation of these personality traits is possible only when the students can cope with any situation while maintaining a favorable spiritual and emotional state. Psychological protection is an unconscious mental mechanism, meant to minimize a person's negative experiences, regulate their behavior, to increase their adaptability. The article elucidates the problem of determining the particularities of psychological defense mechanisms in adolescents according to the type of family (complete/incomplete). The study also focused on determining the relationship between the level of stress control and psychological defense mechanisms.
