Abstract

The article presents the results of the study on psychological characteristics of senior and middle managers. The research methods are: R. Cattell’s Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire; the “Communicative and Organisational Inclinations (KOS)” technique by V. Sinyavsky and V. Fedoroshin; test of achievement motivation by A. Mehrabian in the modification of M. Magomed-Eminov. The analysis of the results showed that middle and senior managers differ in the following characteristics: “self-confidence - anxiety”, “high selfcontrol - low self-control” and “looseness - tension” factors of the personality profile; high and above average levels of communicative inclinations, as well as average and above average levels of organisational inclinations; “striving for success” and “striving to avoid failure” motivational tendencies.
