Abstract

This article aims to highlight the interrelationship between different branches of science: environmental health and psychology, focused mainly on the relationship between air pollutants and their harmful effects, as part of the environment and its perception by the human being, as part of psychology, as well as the need to assess, monitor and manage adequately the quality of the environment. At the same time, is intended to explain the need and participation of society, in local and global areas, to improve and maintain an adequate environmental quality, using a tool such as environmental psychology, to improve the quality of human life.
