Abstract

AbstractThe temperature behaviour of the electrical resistivity of metals is investigated in the case when the anharmonic properties of phonons are taken into account in the pseudoharmonic approximation. The results show that the pseudoharmonic effects of lattice vibrations are not negligible in calculations concerning the high temperature region. A comparison with experimental data is given for copper, silver, and gold theoretically described by various potential functions.
