Abstract

Abstract A kinetic pseudo-one-dimensional Ising system is treated. The 3D interchain couplings are introduced in the exact solutions for one-dimensional Ising chains via molecular field. The resulting critical slowing down for T → Tc and is accompanied by a strong non critical slowing down which is an inherence of the relatively high one-dimensional short range order. The results are used for the prediction of nuclear magnetic relaxation behavior of pseudo 1D order-disorder ferroelectrics.
