Abstract

A Roadside Sacrum in Local Memory. Study of the Myślenice Land
 The article analyses selected examples of roadside shrines typical for the area of the Myślenice land, Poland. The author points at the characteristic elements of small architecture that reflects spiritual values cultivated by past generations living in the region. The current population scattered across the Myślenice land cultivates with care the individual and collective memory of their ancestors embraced in well-shaped stone blocks of the shrines.
