Abstract

Twelve sunspot‐groups were observed on February 24, none very large or active. One of these was within 3° of the center of the solar disk when the storm of February 24 began.The storm of March 21–23 was probably due to the active group 57° west, 15° south. Several other groups were present on the Sun. The largest was at 25° east, 15° north. Two very small groups were directly in the center of the disk during the storm, one on March 22.4, and the other on March 23.4.
