Abstract
This work involves two main themes: Beekeeping and Internet of Things (IoT). The beekeeping theme reinforces the enormous importance of bees in their role in honey production and in pollinating the environment. It was sought, through IoT methods like monitoring an environment and the proper communication of any abnormal behavior to the interested parts, to deal with a real problem in beekeeping: the theft or vandalism in hives. Through a simple and alternative proposal to face the identified problem, the presented proposal brings a description of the implementation of a simplified system based on IoT - in which this context, we can say it was applied precision beekeeping techniques -, as an alternative to other existing options to solve or mitigate the problem of hive theft.
