Abstract

Proton total reaction cross sections have been measured at 9.1 MeV for Mg, Ti, 63Cu, 65Cu, natural Cu and Zr using a counter anti-coincidence technique. These and earlier results have been compared with the predictions of the nuclear optical model. Good agreement has been found in the case of medium-weight nuclei.
