Abstract
AbstractProton magnetic resonance spectrum of thujic acid was studid at 60 MC. Ethylenic proton spectra appeared in the range of 2.35Tâ4.89T These are of interest from the point of view of structure determination. The proton spinâspin coupling constants were determined to be 10.0 cps for doubleâbonded vicinal protons, and 6.8 cps for singleâbonded vicinal protons. Two barely resolved quartets suggest the spinâspin coupling between H1 and H0 for which the value was found to be 1.2 cps.
