Abstract
Abstract The proton vector-analyzing power has been measured in the deuteron break-up reaction 2 H( p , 2p)n for E p = 22.7 MeV. A coplanar symmetric configuration has been investigated with θ 1 = −θ 2 = 41.7°. The experimental analyzing power is compared with an “exact” calculation derived from a Faddeev-type equation solved with S-, P- and D-wave nucleon-nucleon separable interactions. These calculations reproduce the trend of our observed analyzing power but not the absolute values.
