Abstract
The article reveals the prospects and possibilities of using the Chinese yuan in the system of international monetary, credit and financial relations. The advantages and disadvantages of using the yuan as a reserve currency have been identified. An analysis of factors contributing to the nomination of the Chinese yuan for the role of the reserve currency in the near future is presented.
