Abstract
In this paper I estimate the size of the signals expected for superparamagnetic andferromagnetic nanoparticles using a SQUID (superconducting quantum interference device)microscope with varying loop sizes and loop to sample spacings in the magnetometer andsusceptometer modes and compare these signals to intrinsic noise levels in SQUID sensors.
