Abstract
The current study aims to present a prospective of future vision about how civic and national education textbooks address of contemporary social problems for upper basic stage in Jordan. A qualitative method was applied. The two researchers designed a structured interview instrument and tested its validity and reliability. The sample of the study consisted of (18) experts, supervisors and teacher’s social studies. The findings of the study revealed the importance of including the contemporary social problems in the curricula and the disadvantages of not including them. The study also showed how the contemporary social problems could be implied theoretically and practically. One of the most important results was making use of the suggested future vision in including the content of the national and civic education in the problems that are not implied in it and how to include them theoretically and practically.
