Abstract
ABSTRACT. Honey is a natural product obtained from kelulut bees (Heterotrigona itama). This research aims to analyze the use of used refrigerators and dehumidifiers to reduce the water content of honey. The process of reducing the water content of honey begins by pouring honey into a plastic container. Each plastic container is neatly arranged in a used refrigerator. The dehumidifier is placed at the bottom of the used refrigerator. Observation of water content is carried out every 09.00 and 16.00. The use of used refrigerators and dehumidifiers can reduce the water content of honey from 30% to 20% for 48 hours.ABSTRAK. Madu kelulut (Heterotrigona itama) adalah salah satu bahan alam yang diperoleh dari lebah kelulut. Tujuan dari penilitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penggunaan lemari pendingin bekas dan dehumidifier terhadap penurunan kadar air madu kelulut. Proses penurunan kadar air madu dimulai dengan menuangkan madu ke dalam wadah plastik. Setiap wadah plastik disusun rapi di dalam lemari pendingin bekas. Alat dehumidifier diletakkan pada bagian paling bawah lemari pendingin bekas. Pengamatan kadar air dilakukan setiap pukul 09.00 dan 16.00. Penggunaan lemari pendingin bekas dan dehumidifier dapat menurunkan kadar air madu dari 30% menjadi 20% selama 48 jam.
