Abstract
An effective field theory with correlations is used to a mixed spin-1 and spin- 3 2 Ising ferromagnetic ( J>0) system with two crystal–field interactions on a square lattice ( z=4). The phase diagrams in temperature–crystal field interaction plane and the thermal behaviors of magnetizations are given. We find a variety of interesting phenomena resulting from the competition between the two crystal-field interactions and nearest-neighbor exchange interaction
