Abstract

The reflection and transmission of thermoelastic plane waves at an imperfect interface between a thermal conducting viscous-liquid and generalized thermoelastic solid half-space has been investigated. The amplitude ratios of various reflected and transmitted waves are obtained for an imperfect boundary. Particular cases of normal stiffness, transverse stiffness, slip and welded boundaries are deduced. Some special cases of interest are also obtained from the present investigation. It is found that the amplitude ratios of various reflected and transmitted waves are affected by the stiffness and thermal properties of the media.
