Abstract

The propagation and interaction of nonlinear solitonlike waves in a liquid with gas bubbles are considered using the Nakoryakov-Pokusaev-Shreiber two-wave equation. It is shown that these waves exist within the “opacity” window for linear waves. The interaction of such waves propagating in opposite directions may lead to their splitting into secondary localized waves.
