Abstract
Abstract The coeditors of this special double issue of the journal focus attention on the need to reassess the work and legacy of Ayn Rand's friend and collaborator Nathaniel Branden (1930–2014). This introduction explains why they asked a diverse group of scholars to examine Branden's entire body of work—from his Randian period through his years as the “father” of the self-esteem movement.
