Prolegómenos al sentido de la responsabilidad social: en búsqueda de una concepción humanista

Abstract

This article is the first result of the research entitled Proposal of didactic actions for socio-humanistic education in professional social responsibility of students from Universidad Autonoma de Bucaramanga. From a humanist point of view, it aims, firstly, at developing a reflection on the background of the concept “social responsibility” and, equally, it proposes a conceptual approach according to the dialogue among various sources of knowledge. This article is therefore divided as such: Humanism, Philanthropy, Christian charity and a contextualization from the Industrial Revolution in the eighteenth century and the consolidation of capitalism in the nineteenth century. It concludes with a preliminary conceptual proposal which integrates human development, humanism and social responsibility and three different modes of social responsibility: Business (RSE), University (RSU) and Professional (RSP).
