Abstract

Aim: this study aims to describe the experience of students and professors during the development of the Rondon Project in a municipality located in the north region of Tocantins(TO). Method: it is an experience report, which was developed during November 2010 to January 2011. In this mission participated undergraduate students from the Universidade Federal de Pelotas (UFPel) and Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz (ESALQ) of Universidade de Sao Paulo (USP), besides four professors who supervised the activities. Results: the experience students acquired in Rondon project, the work’s methodology, the participation of several courses, and the student and professor learning. The Rondon Project has been showing satisfactory results, stimulating critical and reflexive students’ skills, preparing them to handle different realities existing in Brazil.
