Abstract
Two simple empirical models are proposed to predict Zener reference standard output voltage and uncertainty based on just one or two calibration points. The models are derived from a study of 140 Zener standards. The results yield a substantial reduction in uncertainty relative to the manufacturer's specification and illustrate the dominant influence of seasonal effects on projection uncertainty.
