Abstract

In the framework of the projected Hartree-Fock theory, rotational bands in light nuclei are described using Skyrme interactions. Comparison with traditional interactions and discussion of the Skyrme parametrization are made. A Skyrme interaction is derived which allows a better description of rotational bands and α-type excited bands. This is achieved through a modification of the parameter of the velocity dependent part of the force.
