Abstract
China celebrated the 10th anniversary of the entering into force of the Chinese Patent Law on 1 April 1995. There were 456,915 patent applications from home and abroad received by the Chinese Patent Office during the first decade, and 234,820 among them granted. Significant progress has been made in many aspects during the 10 year period while a few problems remain to be studied and solved, in order to achieve greater success in the next decade.
