Abstract
Abstract The patent documentation service system in China was established by the end of the 1950s. It served both the public and science academies. In 1981, the Patent Library was transferred to the Patent Office for establishment of the patent system in China. Since the first Chinese Patent Law was promulgated, the Chinese Patent Office (CPO) has been trying to set up a patent information system with Chinese characteristics. The best effort has been made and fairly good progress has been made.
