Abstract

Arsenic trioxide has been used as a drug for thousands of years.In recent years, it has been found that it has a significant effect on acute promyelocytic leukemia.Then, more and more researches on arsenic trioxide have been studied in other diseases.The mechanism is complex, mainly including: induction of cell differentiation, induction of cell apoptosis and inhibition of cell proliferation.This paper briefly summarizes the recent advances in researches on arsenic trioxide in respiratory diseases, including primary bronchial lung cancer, bronchial asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, malignant pleural effusion, in order to put forward the prospect of the application of respiratory diseases and provide a new way for the treatment of various diseases of respiratory system.
