Abstract

The progress in field of thermoregulated aqueous-organic biphasic catalysis and thermoregulated non-aqueous liquid/liquid biphasic catalysis is reviewed. The authors aim at the solution to the limitation in the application of the classic aqueous/organic biphasic catalysis due to the low water-solubility of the substrates. Especially, the thermoregulated aqueous/organic biphasic transfer catalysis is discussed in detail. Moreover, various non-aqueous biphasic catalytic systems have been reviewed, including the fluorous biphasic, the polyethylene glycol (PEG) biphasic and the ionic liquid biphasic systems.
