Abstract

Metalloporphyrins, as model compounds of P-450 enzyme, have been widely used in biomimetic catalytic oxidation reactions. The biomimetic catalytic oxidation system developed by metalloporphyrins has been gathering much attention due to the characteristics of high efficiency, good selectivity and mild conditions. In this paper, the application of metalloporphyrins as catalysts for the catalytic oxidation were reviewed, mainly including the oxidation of alkanes, olefins, alcohols, ketones and other substrates. The possible reaction mechanism and active species were summarized. Last, the challenges and prospects of metalloporphyrins complexes in catalytic oxidation were discussed.
