Abstract
Brazil is the second-largest global producer of chicken meat, with approximately 33% destined for export. Consumption is high due to economic accessibility and nutritional characteristics. In poultry production, the implementation of lighting programs for broilers is crucial to optimize zootechnical and behavioral performance, enhancing feed conversion. This scientific article aims to explore the influence of lighting programs on the poultry production cycle, analyzing factors such as photoperiod, light intensity, and light spectrum. The study utilized SciELO, Google Scholar and Cobb and Ross Broiler Management Manual, prioritizing contemporary publications. Understanding these elements aims not only to improve production efficiency but also to promote management practices aligned with animal welfare and sustainability principles in broiler farming.
