Abstract

The preparation of a development plan for the management of the Kanagarian Kampa customary forest needs to be supported by a study of the social capital of the community managing the forest. The purpose of this study was to analyze and compile a profile of the condition of the social capital of the Kenegerian Kampa community
 The research was conducted from March to December 2023 in Koto Perambahan Village, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. Methods of data collection by distributing questionnaires. The respondent population is all adults in the Indigenous Peoples of the Perambahan Village of Kenegerian Kampa (IPPVKK). Data is processed with simple statistics and analyzed descriptively.
 The social capital of IPPVKK in group and network aspects, level of trust, willingness to help each other, collective action and cooperation, access to information, social cohesion and inclusion, friendliness and familiarity, peace and security, are in the high category, except for the aspects of empowerment and political action which are relatively low. Based on the seven dimensions of social capital, IPPVKK's social capital is included in the high category. Assistance for customary forest management can then be directed at strengthening technological aspects of forest management and economic development.
