Abstract

The current study aimed at exploring the professional self-care and its relationship to the variables of gender, academic level and years of experience among psychological support service providers in Jordan. The current study tool was adapted to the Jordanian environment, and its validity and reliability were verified. The sample consisted of 323 psychological support providers in some educational and psychological institutions (males = 109, females = 214). Some descriptive statistics, the "t" test for independent samples, and the "F" test were used to answer the research questions. The results indicated that there are statistically significant differences (p ≤ 0.5) according to the variables of gender, academic level, and years of experience، Based on the results of the current study a set of recommendations were presented، the most important of which is the need to pay attention to training workshops that aim to raise the levels of professional self-care among psychological service providers.
