Abstract

Is your firm focusing more on liability these days? The law firm of Gadsby & Hannah, L.L.P., Boston, and the Journal of Management in Engineering, want to know. The May-June issue incorporates a survey on risk management experiences, and finding out how firms are approaching the problem. Views on risk management seem to have changed over the last decade as the costs of insurance have risen and market forces have pushed engineers into nontraditional roles. The survey will provide a breakdown of firms by size, type, discipline and services. It will also ask readers to rate their experiences with traditional and non-traditional methods of dispute resolution, and it will look to the future, asking readers where they think the engineering market is headed.
